Where do pets sleep in South Lake Tahoe?

Where do pets sleep in South Lake Tahoe?

For those who are looking for a more luxurious getaway in South Lake Tahoe - look no further!

The Landing is South Lake Tahoe's only five-star accommodation AND it happens to be completely dog friendly.

And when I say dog friendly I mean completely dog friendly - no nonsense about only dogs under 15 lbs, not allowed to be left alone in the room, not allowed in lobby, pay-per-night-per dog etc. In fact, they don't seem to even mind when I wasn't on leash, but that's because I happened to be so well behaved =P

The room was pretty spacious, big enough. I mean, c'mon, when you're in Tahoe you're not gonna be in the room all that much!

The hotel has your basic amenities, like pool, jacuzzi (both of which are open all year round), fitness room and dining.

Jimmy's Restaurant is a blend of Mediterranean, Italian and American. They have some tasty salads and Mom thought the gnocchi was really delicious. I didn't get to try any =( But there's nice outdoor seating with heaters and fire pits right across the street from the beach.

Yes, that's right, the hotel is right on the lake!

Since we stayed during off season the standard rule of off season-no rules seemed to apply and we saw other guests with their dogs on the beach.

For those who are looking for more dining options and some night life, the hotel is conveniently located near the casinos and Heavenly basecamp.

For outdoor excursions, we usually have to drive everywhere since we tend to explore different parts of the lake, plus, there's so many national parks and forests that we don't mind if we have to hop in the car - that's the beauty of Tahoe, in general.

Hopefully you guys will check this place out next time you're in South Lake Tahoe. They'll even give you a treat when you check in!
